John Cale
I am just about to head out to see John Cale play. With Brian Eno, he is possibly one of the greatest musical arrangers in rock history (and not a bad songwriter in his own right either). Observe:

Didn't in the end - got invited elsewhere during the encores. But yes indeed was a great show, even though most of what he played was unfamiliar. Stunning version of Pablo Picasso though, and Venus in Furs alone made it worth the money. :oP
